Cardamom

Relieves bloating and has a soothing effect on the stomach.

Cinnamon

Heavy food becomes easier to digest thanks to the essential oils and tannins it contains.

Cloves

Essential oils prevent flatulence and aid digestion.  

Ginger

Essential oils and pungent substances (e.g. gingerol) have a positive effect on digestion and counteract stomach cramps and constipation. Linalool reduces flatulence.

Star anise

Contains anethole, which makes rich foods easier to digest.
