Tips for safe jogging in winter

Winter has its pitfalls due to the cold, wetness and darkness. To keep moving and jogging safely through the winter, we have put together a few tips for you:

Wear warm clothes
Dress warmly. Make sure your clothes are breathable so you don’t sweat too much.

Use light-coloured and/or reflective clothing
Draw attention to yourself with colourful or reflective clothing to be seen by cars and cyclists in the dark.

Start slowly
If you don’t jog regularly, start with short distances and increase slowly.

Pay attention to the weather
Check the weather at the time of your run. Listen to your body and stop the run if you feel cold or dizzy.

Take breaks
The extra stress caused by the cold air makes jogging in winter even more challenging. Take regular breaks to recover and stretch.
